Who doesn’t love meatloaf, let alone the one from Cracker Barrel’s. Here is a recipe that pretty much tastes like the real thing.
2 pounds ground beef
6 ounces of chopped onion
4 ounces diced bell green peppers
1 teaspoon of salt
8 ounces of diced canned tomatoes
1/2 cup of grated biscuit crumbs
Glaze for on top
1/2 cup catsup
2 Tbsp mustard
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix all ingredients together by hand.
Put in a greased loaf pan and press down.
Bake in oven for 75 minutes or until done. Ovens may vary.
After 50 minutes of baking, spread the glaze mixture over the top of the meatloaf and put back into the oven for the remainder of the baking time.
After done cooking, remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes.
Cut into 5 ounce portions, serves 8.
